Synopsis
While she sews, Mercedes and her brother Dino show us the Congada's costumes and Saint Benedict's flag. Luciano and his family paint and polish Saint Benedict's mast. Dona Rosa prepares the Consertada, a regional liquor served during the lifting of the mast, and her grandson, a Congada's percussionist, explain us about its rythms. The wooden marimba is preserved by Durval's family for generations, and elderly Maximino remembers old-time Congada.
