What stuff are dreams made of ? Where do they land ? It is said that the city was gently placed all in one piece, from the clouds… Saint Petersburg. Faces and dreams. This film, equally a geographical and a temporal journey, takes us inside the russian city and makes us discover the singular world of its inhabitants, from one face to the next. Dostoïevski, the October revolution, the kommunalki apartments, the blockade, the Czar, Shrek or even Poutine : the inhabitants tell us their city, a city which name has been changed four times, subjected to the humors of men and to the whims of time.
