Synopsis
"In Hollywood they would have done thousand of movies about them", says sociologist and basketball coach Emilio Gutiérrez at some point in Time Out. He's talking about the Argentine national basketball team, winner of the first world championship hosted by AR in 1950. And what the de facto government of the Revolución Libertadora and the sneaky leaders of the Argentine Association of Basketball did with that first "golden generation" was very far from the glitter of the big scrn: they banned them from playing for the rest of their lives amidst a general persecution of anything that would resemble Peronism. Guided by Gutiérrez and with an agile editing that's structured in chapters replicating moments of the game, Furlong, Menini and company reel off their memories, watch movies from that time. And, mostly, they give out the perfect picture for a certain friendship and team spirit that neither time nor injustice could defeat.
