“Impending Doom” was filmed in Super8 and is a visual testimony to and a sonorous interpretation of two ceremonies that took place in Rome and Lisbon in 2005: the funerals of Pope John Paul II and Álvaro Cunhal. Despite having different beliefs and ideologies, the two communities shared a feeling of pain, hurt and peace in a world at war.
