Synopsis
The 25 de Abril da Meia-Praia neighbourhood is between the sea and a railway line. It began as a group of huts, improvisedly constructed in the “middle of the beach” by the “Indians” who had fled from Monte Gordo to Lagos, aiming to start a new life. After the 25th April, and by way of architectural plans made by the Serviço de Apoio Ambulatório Local (S.A.A.L.), the huts were transformed into houses – constructed by the Indians themselves. Thirty years have gone by and lots of promises are still being made. What does the future have in store for the 25 de Abril da Meia-Praia neighbourhood?
