United Red Army
Director Kôji Wakamatsu
Countries Japan
Duration 190 min
Synopsis
In 1972, 14 members of the United Red Army were executed during sessions of “self-criticism”, while training in the mountains. This film debates the radicalisation of the Japanese universities in the 1960s, which was concurrent to milestone events: the assassination of Martin Luther King, the invasion of Czechoslovakia by Warsaw Pact troops or May ‘68 in France.
