Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is an unrecognized state in Europe. For 21 years this self-proclaimed state has been ruled by the irreplaceable president Smirnov, but the project of building a soveriegn state on the ruins of the Soviet Union has run aground. The existence of PMR relies completely on alms from Russia. The presidential election is coming and the oppositional candidates appear on the half-finished construction site to each present a plan how to build a proper house out of a leaning wreckage.
