“Paths of Peace” is a documentary that tells the story of the successful political and diplomatic manoeuvres that brought peace and stability to Mozambique, ending the civil war and bringing the first free elections to the country. This mission was a two-decade long political adventure that brought an end to a bloody civil war, and laid the political foundation upon which a stable democracy was built. Twenty two years after the historic signing, after four democratic elections, that exceptional personal and political journey is recalled through the stories and memories of its primary participants: Mozambican political leaders, Southern Africa and other world political leaders, mediators and diplomats.
