Father and son on a journey
Director Marcel Lozinski
Countries Poland
Duration 75 min
Synopsis
This experiment made by two directors, Marcel and Paweł Łoziński, has been edited by the father. In the conversations with his son during a car journey Marcel Łoziński reminisces about his painful childhood, the tragic death of his mother and his own choices that had also a significant impact on Paweł’s life. The journey they made together and captured by the camera is an opportunity to confront the memories and different views of the father and the son., Simultaneously a road movie and a making-of. A son and a father spend two weeks travelling in a camper van from Warsaw to Paris. An opportunity to raise painful but also amusing subjects families don’t normally talk about. And for the two documentary filmmakers to discuss the essence of the film as it’s being shot. An interesting family and film driven experiment. Two reports from one journey. The film is a polemic editing version of Marcel Łoziński to “Father and son” – a film made by and upon the idea of Paweł Łoziński
