Synopsis
Bale is a middle-aged man who became blind when he was a teenager. He used to live with his mother, his father, his brother and his two sisters. After finishing high school in Skopje he returned to Brajcino at his family., His family has not been a pleasant environment. Quarrels and rows fulfilled Bale’s everyday life. Having a father addicted to alcohol made problems inevitable. But besides all the disruptions, Bale have grown into a mature person that couldn’t succeed in life only because of its state of invalidity., But, his problems doesn’t end up here. After a while his mother has been hospitalized in a mental institution. The same happens to his brother and his two sister are got married and left him only with his father. From day to day their mutual misunderstandings are becoming more frequent. Their relationship is getting worse, but still at least Bale has someone besides him. Someone who helps him bear the challenges of his state of invalidity., Soon, the father dies. Bale is left alone with no help. Left on his own, embraced with his own everyday needs, he tries to get food, to light a fire, to wash his clothes, to take a bath. After a while, his home turns into a dump yard and he is more often ill than healthy. His neighbors are the only few people that help him from time to time. Especially few good people (such as his friends Niklas and Sasho), friends of his. At least once a year they make Bale forget about his misery and feel a little happiness., Luckily, his relatives are here to help as well. In the end Bale goes to his sister where he’s been taken care of. He is now in a place that he can consider his home. He’s well fed, wears clean clothes and has his sister around to help. He may not feel as free as he did in Brajcino, but at least he has his needs fulfilled.
