Synopsis
Posidonia is a film narrating the relationship between the coast of a metropolis and its seabed, and also the industrialization which has marked the life on the surface, with a course towards an unavoidable catastrophe., The biography of a adventurer diver, who for some fortuitousness of the History, has explored the metropolitan seabed of Naples, is mixed up with the transformation of a coast (a coastline) which in few years (less than a century) has become a potential landing of the science and technology civilisation., Posidonia is a journey among the resistances of Nature (declined in all its uncertainties and potentialities) that are trying nevertheless to be sand in an engine., Naples and its harbour are the places where the story happens, and are the territories where an individual course becomes universal., Emerging from the seabed (and at the same time from the stories of the adventurers) the History of the floating land assumes unusual narrative features., Posidonia narrates how the planning and the building of huge construction for commercial purposes (as harbours and industrial agglomerations) are passed through by human experiences, microhistories able to tell their unexpected nuances, details and implications., Posidonia is a film composed by original shooting, visual archival sources and by a sound pattern made up of voices, noises and music. Their composition makes a creative documentary which starting from the Gulf of Naples aims to tell how long our civilisation of metal (and of science and technology) was able to transform its territories where we have found ourselves to live.
