«Aimé», which means ‘loved», is an eponymous documentary opening a door to the Paris Congolese community. Mickaël Bandela, the French narrator of Congolese origin, follows Aimé, a friend of his mother who has made his way from Brazzaville to Paris, thanks to his successful restaurant and his lucky stars. Mickaël takes the opportunity to attend Aimé’s 40th birthday, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the opening of his restaurant, to show us a man celebrated by his friends as well as the Congolese Diaspora in Paris.
