Avant-garde, poet and dramaturge Christopher Barnett turned the Australian literary and theatre worlds on their heads and then abruptly vanished. In 2009 director Anne Tsoulis rediscovered him living in Nantes in France where he's lived for the last 20 years. What became of one of Australia's most controversial artists of the 1980's is a fascinating and poignant story. We discover that he has won many French admirers- including the current Prime Minister -for the work he does with the poor and marginalised of that city.
