Synopsis
When we look at the reality around us, in some moments we can feel that every small detail is related to a broad net or complex, structured by different mechanisms of power that control us and that we reproduce ourselves, simultaneously. A net that is hard to capture and to comprehend. We try to get out of it, analyze it, and describe it, but still we are inside of it, and even our language is only an outcome of it. That net we can call DISCOURSE. This movie captures the complex mechanisms and power relations inherent to discourse inside current Egyptian society, spanning two dominant discourses — the Islamist discourse, and the military discourse — and the reflections of both on Egyptians.
