Synopsis
In a country on the periphery of a new Europe where, even after all these years, the war has indelibly marked the people and the land itself, those who survived or have since returned try to lead a life of compassion. NAMIR, a former lawyer who worked for the Red Cross during the Bosnian conflict, has been involved with a Austrian charity since 1992. At the start of the war ADO was a child and spent his childhood as a refugee in his own country. Having returned to Srebrenica he now works for local organization, ‘Freunde Srebrenicas’ (Friends of Srebrenica). The young cameraman and his crew report from Srebrenica and surrounding areas on local issues, successes and events generally. He also heads to Sarajevo to interview well known rock band and critics of the regime, DUBIOZA KOLEKTIV. There are also cameos from the local construction team, barber, mill owner, and baker, all of whom seek the same goal: to help return the town to a life of normality.
