Synopsis
A history is not only a narrative of things past, it is also a mode of belonging together, a way of sharing individual and collective experiences, as well as the forms and signs that give them shape. Every history is an arrangement of silent testimonies and discursive traces, an intertwining of different times and places, objects and gestures, allowing us to be where we were not. In this age of archeology and geology, everything speaks: every sensible form, every entity, every image wears a history on their very bodies, a presence signifying the experiences that bring the form itself into presence, bearing the infinite virtuality of all other histories. All the poetics of history and the poetics of this film can be found here: in the possibility of forging all the connections that had not been forged before, of weaving a multiplicity of elements, found on the body of things and in the shape of words, together in a fabric of sense. The history of a place as a poem of history.
