Synopsis
A farmer, writer and thinker, Pierre Rabhi has been in France one of the forerunners in agro-ecology. In love with the Nourishing Earth and involved in the service of Mankind and Nature for the past 40 years, he now appeals to the awakening of minds, in order to establish a new type of society in which «happy sobriety» is to replace the over-consumption and malaise that pertain to present cultures. The film tells a wise man’s life story (from the Algerian desert to his international expertise in food security), as well as his thought process that aims at confronting mankind to what is at stake in its own destiny.
