Synopsis
Small shops in a typical Tokyo neighborhood--the tofu makers, tatami-mat makers, florists, dry cleaners, produce vendor, barber shop, candy shop--line the main street, Omiya Hachiman dori, that leads to a 9th century Shinto shrine. Intimate portraits of these shops and their owners meditate on quotidien tasks and the environment in which they’re performed.
