Synopsis
The film tells of Leo Bretholz and Bluma Shapiro and their life in the Jewish community of Pikesville/Baltimore. Bluma - born in Bialystok - survived Auschwitz, Leo - born in Vienna- eluded the camps. His escape is crowned by his jump from transport number 42 from Drancy to Auschwitz. He is "overholocausted", says Leo. Yet he has been telling his story - relentless and full of wit and charisma - at Baltimore’s schools since 1962. He effortlessly wins the teenagers with his charm and moves them with his life story, but also snubs them with his uncompromising views.
