Synopsis
MUKAMUSONI is a Congolese refugee living in Kiziba refugee camp, Rwanda. She’s a single mother sharing a little mud hut with her three young children. One day she’s allowed to be relocated to Finland.
6954 Kilometres to Home is an hour long documentary, which observes MUKAMUSONI’S journey from primitive life conditions to a modern environment exploring the family’s first steps towards Westernization.
How will MUKAMUSONI cope with this major change in her life, not to mention her children? 6954 Kilometres to Home is an insight account of showing what refugees go through during their adjustment without a real sense of home told entirely from the family’s perspective.
