Synopsis
“Mom, I’m Gonna Kill You” is a film about children that live in an orphanage in Russia. The leading characters, Sashka, Nastya and Lekha are destined to spend all of their childhood there. The orphanage is more like a juvenile prison, although the adults who work there are convinced that they are making the children happy. When the children violate the rules of discipline, they are reprimanded by being sent to a psychiatric hospital. Authors of this film were not, in any way, hindered while filming the subject matter, because all of the adults working in this particular orphanage, or those that manage all orphanages in Russia, feel that they have nothing to be ashamed of – this is actually the best that they can do for these children. Every one of the children - the leading characters of the film - chooses his, or her, own way of fighting against the rules according to which they must live in the orphanage.
