Synopsis
One map of a strange Island, lost in the oceÌan, the Kerguelen islands. An island, almost inaccessible, with its very human cartography. I wanted to reach the island through the eyes of an explorer from the novels of Jules Verne. The one who discovers a place for the first time creates it. The cartography is constitutive of space; we say the place and the place happens. I wanted to evoke this island as a mystery, the paradox of these virgin places and their literary names. I thought that in not naming it I could give the impression that this mysterious island could perhaps not exist, which is the fantasy of the island itself, or that of all islands - Treasure Island, The Mysterious Island, Mount Analog ... I can not go to the island of my dreams, I don't care, it could be anywhere. The map demonstrates its reality, but as I have not seen it, it does not really exist and can take shape anywhere, out of nowhere.
