Synopsis
Ricardo Bär is the name of Ricardo Bär (22), a young man who lives with his family on a farm in the Argentine province of Misiones, at the Brazilian border. It’s mostly forest and settlers, descendants of German immigrants who, despite several generations of living there, continue to sing German songs as if they were surrounded by snow-covered mountains. Ricardo leaves behind his youth to enter the adult world, but, unlike the rest of the young men there, he doesn’t want to work the soil; he wants to become a pastor. Problems for the film shoot begin when Ricardo hears the voice of God, who tells him that his destiny is not in acting. The community too mistrusts the camera and “the movie” is told it has to leave.
