Synopsis
This is a short story about my grandparents. The film gives an introduction of the house of the old couple and shows a glimpse of their lives. We watch them sleep, watch television and eat. We get a piece of every day life. The continuous camera movements suggest the presence of a third person — the observer; me. Together with my grandparents, I'm repeating their daily rituals. Preparation for dinner, resting, watching television and sleeping come periodically after each other. It’s hard to say if we are reconstructing, staging or participating in a part of reality. The film balances on the border of realism and fiction. Only little details suggest the interference of the filmmaker in the every day life of two old persons. It’s a story about people passing each other. They live in one house, but they never met each other. Feelings are gone. In the end of their lives there’s nothing between those two, just a routine of being with each other.
