Agon
Director Marco Di Noia
Countries Greece
Duration 30 min
Synopsis
An economic crisis, protests, poverty, unemployment, the emergence of an ultra right wing Nazi party all colluded with the police. These were all the ingredients of a social-economic crisis that could have brought Greece and the Euro zone to collapse.
I travelled from Athens to Patras, running into characters who told me their stories.
Agon (ἀγών) means competition, confrontation, but also struggle.
I found both in Greece: the ones who were struggling to survive and the ones who were ready to engage in their battle.
