Duration 100 min
Synopsis
Only 3% of farmholders in the UK are under the age of 35. In Europe it is only 6%. So where are the young farmers who will be putting food on our tables in the future? Tune for the Blood is an intimate, emotional portrait of a group next generation farmers from traditional family farms in England. It chronicles the daily dramas, over a year, of what it's like to be a young farmer: the challenges they face and the passion that goes into their work on the land. Although the film is located in England, their experiences are shared much more widely. These fresh and authentic young rural voices, with their optimism and humour, breathe life into the issues the countryside at a time food security is high on the agenda.
