Synopsis
Sound from the Hallways (2012) is shot in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, located on the Tahrir Square where recent protests of Egyptian people against oppressive government took place. This experimental film combines images of the atmosphere in one of the most visually dense and important museums in the world, with the sound of peoples’ unrest coming from the Tahrir Square. This Film evokes historical and cultural importance Egypt holds for humanity, and struggle of Egyptian people for freedom as a metaphor of resistance to any form of colonization and suppression.
