Synopsis
“I am, in person, Alfred Iantschi” is the first and only line of this story about 84 year-old Alfred Ianski’s life. “Mecanismul Iantschi” is a 33-minute film documentary composed of images telling the story of Alfred's daily routine, through three seasons of his life, as he lives on the edge of civilisation, at his watermill, lost in Transylvania, along with his good old friend, a chainsaw. The watermill is the core of his activities, giving him the energy to fulfill the day-to-day tasks.
