Synopsis
Based on a true story, this film is about Hossein: a former drug addict who becomes revolutionary and sets fire to a cinema in Iran a few months before the victory of the 1979 revolution, unwillingly causing the death of nearly 400 people. The film also makes references to Seyyed, the protagonist in the movie that was being screened in the cinema during the incident: a drug addicts who gets involved in political activities and dies in a gun battle with state police. While Seyyed succeeds in dying for his cause, Hossein stays alive, but is forsaken by the post-revolutionary establishment, even when he wants to give himself up and plea’s for his own punishment.
