Cheap Tickets is a gritty, intimate documentary that reflects GreeceÂ’s current economic crises through a random Greek neighbourhood of passengers on the 6-hour night train that travels from the suburban working class city of Thesaloniki in Greece, to the economic, political and cultural capital Athens. The documentary artistically and innovatively captures the vast range of characters on board the train whilst emotionally delving in to the underworld of their own lives and concerns, with each revealing surprising depths of emotion and humanity.
