Synopsis
On March 19, 1974, students led by a radical leftist Student Council occupied the American University of Beirut, as an act of rebellion against a 10% increase in tuition fees. Their protest was part of a sweeping movement calling for change in the country. On April 13, 1975, the Lebanese Civil War broke out putting an end to all social movements, throwing the country into a spiral of violence that was to last for 15 years. In 2011, seven young political activists reenact the 1974 student rebellion as revolutions erupt through the Arab world.
