Synopsis
In IS, at the heart of the winter time, Reykjavík is on the dark side of the year. Right before Christmas, thousands of candles and electric lights illuminate the city. In this strange and poetic atmosphere, the deceased weave links with their descendants. A young woman, Arndis, waits for the sign her grandmother promised to her before dying. Arnar tries to find the woman who loved him. Two mediums, Skuli and Maggy, help them in their quests. This movie shows how dead and livings in IS are embedded in a heedful partnership. Each one needs the other one to exist. Their ordinary and basic dialogues reveal an optimistic glance on the hereafter.
