Synopsis
Marsha is a middle-aged housewife with a long history of fighting against serious diseases. This year she has to decide if she is going to participate for the first time in the annual support group event of climbing Mt. Fuji, JPs highest mountain. As we follow Marsha in the steps towards her decision, we begin to understand the meaning of her dilemma, and ultimately experience her hopes and fears as we travel along this special journey with her.
This ethnographic film, based on the visual/medical anthropological perspective, raises important questions about quality of life; what does it mean to live a meaningful life, and where and how do you find it?
