Postcard from Paradise is a webdocumentary which mixes video, photography and text in an interactive manner so that the audience can be part of the storytelling process. The film forms part of the 24 multimedia documentary collection called Portraits of a New World. Postcard from Paradise deals with the problem of the environment in an unusual context. In the 70's, the first tourists came to the maldives for a vacation. To them, this island is all beaches and turquioise lagoons...Asad left his home country Bangladesh for the Maldives, but he is not on a package tour. He is a garbage collector. he now lives in the hell of this paradise.
