Double Happiness, shuangxi;, is not only the name of the hotel where ranElettriKe stayed in Beijing, but is above all a ligature of two zh characters (xi, 'joy') associated with wedding and mutual love. Beijing Double Happiness experiences an audio-visual travel dialogue, two lovers shoot in Super 8 and Video throughout ten days in Beijing. A double-faced Janus, where experimental techniques and technologies converge. The film is presented as a set of coexisting audio-visual fragments, assembled through the editing as patterns of memory, of an experience. The film is in fact an audio-visual research that aims to revive a perceptual journey through the fascinating contemporary Beijing.
