A portrait of a rural home for adults who have learning disabilities. The film was shot over the course of a year, during which time I returned to the home every two weeks to shoot 100ft of film. By observing how routines in weekly life are focused on nurture and development - be that through lessons gardening or the caring of animals – The Home and the World seeks to consider the tension between freedom and structure that exists in this care environment.
