Synopsis
MichaÅ‚ realizes his mission ranks among the impossible. He is over 60, an age when it is tough for a retired engine operator to learn the language of his ancestors. He is one of a few pl descendants left in a once prosperous and multicultural town of Kaczyka in the ROn Bukovina area. He runs the pl House – a hostel and unofficial museum of the townÂ’s past pl culture. He is aware of irreversible social and historical forces that doom his beloved village. But MichaÅ‚ refuses to give up. Once a year, the village returns to life for the church holiday of Ascension. MichaÅ‚ shares his palpable energy with the audience and transmits his wonder for the regionÂ’s beauty.
