Synopsis
MichaÅ realizes his mission ranks among the impossible. He is over 60, an age when it is tough for a retired engine operator to learn the language of his ancestors. He is one of a few pl descendants left in a once prosperous and multicultural town of Kaczyka in the ROn Bukovina area. He runs the pl House  a hostel and unofficial museum of the townÂs past pl culture. He is aware of irreversible social and historical forces that doom his beloved village. But MichaÅ refuses to give up. Once a year, the village returns to life for the church holiday of Ascension. MichaÅ shares his palpable energy with the audience and transmits his wonder for the regionÂs beauty. He adapts to the pace of his daily life and savors bittersweet memories with debuting filmmakers Anna BÅaszczyk and Åukasz Czajka, showing how he accepts the inexorable passage of time while allowing the audience to admire the attempts of those who attempt to fight it against all odds.
