Synopsis
‘Kathem & Chris’ is an intimate documentary about the friendship between Chris and the ex-asylum seeker Kathem. Chris helps Kathem integrating in the village. By following Kathem and Chris during regular activities, like doing shopping’s and fixing bicycles, we slowly get to know them. Kathem and Chris seem to be quite different from each other, but Chris is helping Kathem because he notices Kathem has the same problems with integrating in the village as he had once. We discover the true value of their friendship. The most important part of the film is the scene where Kathem tells about the death of his children. Chris is the only friend Kathem has got, but eventually Kathem seems to feel at home in Tienray.
