Like a mixture between Dalí and Picasso – this is how Uwe Lindau, painter from Karlsruhe, Southern dey, described once his art. But his creations and his very unique style can hardly be described by words and comparisons. Philipp Hartmann accompanied his friend Uwe Lindau and his work with his camera since the year 2001. By choosing an essay-film approach and a cubistic way of editing the (raw)material from the last ten years, the film finds an appropriate way of portraying Lindau and his art. And offers – as it says in one of his paintings – very personal looks into Uwe Lindaus Conspirators´ Den.
