Synopsis
‘A filmmaker lives in the dream of his mother. His mother has Alzheimer’s and she directs the young man, in a seemingly random way order, criss-cross around the world. Or is it also out of his own free will to go further and further away? From a disappointing garbage-strike in IT, an unwilling girl in the cs Republic and shooting a film in FR, he travels all the way to Asia. Here he finally finds a companion and with him he tries to find out what life is all about. This friendship and a short moment of meditation seems to help until he finally disappears from the dream for good and mother has to take action.’ ‘Je vis dans le rêve de ma mère’ is an autobiographical film in which the young actor Chanoah Jap Ngie plays the main protagonist, the alter ego of the director. In a mixture of fiction- and documentary drama the world unfolds itself as the right place to be. But is it also the right place to make films?
