That is the question I ask myself while looking back, twenty years later, at the images of the 5 films I made between 1989 and 1993 on François Mitterand. In this new film, the President becomes the Prince, embodying universal power. It depicts the representation of power as the director imagines it and as the Prince intends to shape it. A permanent and undecided struggle.
