Now it was just make believe and: is a film diary from Maria Lusitano, that deals with the psychological aspects of moving out of your country, through an approach to filmmaking based in shared filmmaking techniques. It was drawn from an archive of 4 years of clips of a videodiary. In it, the various intervenients experiencing different life stages (childhood, adulthood) engage in conversations and film each other, trying in this way to reflect on the various challenges and psychological aspects of their diasporic experience in SW. The question of the utopia as a project versus a constructed reality is also explored. This project is made for a video installation of two scrns, but it can also be seen as a film.
