Synopsis
La Carmeta’s school is a place where very different people come together, and all of them make up a tapestry rich in a variety of cultures while sharing a very clear objective: the art of flamenco. Her school’s contribution is deepened with this clear intention of communicating and making possible a dialogue that doesn’t run up against borders, races, or social classes. They are Carmen Montero, Catalan flamenco dancer, and Diego Amaya, a guitarist from Granada, son of La Pillina and Rafael Farina. Diego falls hopelessly in love upon seeing Carmen dance when she’s only seventeen. He’s already married and so for love, they run away, establishing themselves in Mallorca. With these gypsy flamenco artists we will discover the meaning of triumph that is so instrumental in our society today. A real story of love, sacrifice, and passion.
