Synopsis
“Antanas’s Way” is the story of Antanas Mockus – philosopher, artist, mathematician, a gentle intellectual in a chinstrap beard who reached unprecedented popularity in COn politics, emphasizing the sanctity of life and the value of honesty. As leader of the Green Party, Mockus unleashed a wave of hope in CO, particularly among the young, known as "The Green Wave.” In 2010, Mockus ran for president against Juan Manuel Santos, the aristocratic heir of popular hard-line President Alvaro Uribe. For weeks, Mockus dominated the polls, but the qualities that captured the imagination of so many also doomed his campaign. Mockus, though, made his mark – leaving COns with the memory of a presidential race in which a quirky dreamer with unconventional ideas captured the hopes of millions.
