Synopsis
'Stealing for love' is a study on the social value of the theft in some Roma communities in Rome.
The film follows the fortunes of Romina, a Roma girl, investigated for theft by the Juvenale Court.
The film tells how theft represents, in these communities, one of the basic values of family and
social relations: not just an element of economic subsistence, theft is also used as an instrument
of oppression of women, who are themselves robbed of their lives and freedom.
