Synopsis
Displaced is a short film that looks at the intersection of race and sexuality among dey’s tr population. The tr population is the biggest immigrant group in dey and were brought over by a guest workers program but stayed for many reasons, one of which being the companies not wanting to retrain people. The tr people that came to dey however were from the poorer regions of TR and were less educated and more conservative. Through one-on-one interview type research the film looks at the overall problem of when race and sexuality intersect and do not mix.
