Synopsis
This documentary portrays a trade, the reporters, photographers
and other special reporters and what they believe their role and their
duty is, through a specific time (the siege of Sarajevo in 1992). Ophuls
makes some detours through other periods of history (the rise of
Nazism and the Second World War, the outbreak of the first, with the
assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand) or other events related to
the present (the first Gulf War). He also uses film clips from Hollywood
films and those of his father.
