Synopsis
Through a subjective visual journey, which is realistic and symbolic at the same time, the young French-Algerian filmmaker questions the sense of identity, trying to recreate the elements that form her identity or rather her identities to be found in Algeria and in France. Almost experimentally, far from traditional narration, Nadia Chouieb walks with the video-camera through the streets, the desert, the countryside and in homes, recording accounts and behaviour to compose a series of visual and sound pictures full of a profound interior suspense. The film is part of a series made for the “Bejaïa Doc” workshop of documentary creation.
