And they played the tour together...’ - these are the opening and closing lines of this picture about a meeting of jazzmen from the USA, Brazil and Poland whose only way to communicate was by playing music together. Grainy black and white pictures and title cards bring back old silent movies. World-class jazz is combined with emotional portraits rendered in a polyphonic composition. The director accompanied the members of Sao Paulo Underground and Mikrokolektyw on their tour around Poland and the Czech Republic and filmed them during performances as well as behind the scenes.
