Synopsis
Michael Ergo looks like a typical guy, but one thing sets him apart - only three years ago he was serving as a Marine, fighting insurgents in one of the most deadly battles of the Iraq war. From the outside nothing looks wrong with him
he is fit, healthy and has no physical scares or missing limbs, but on the inside Michael is emotionally bruised, the war taking a dramatic toll on his personal life. Cleverly told through the story of Michael’s tattoos - tattoos which mark his personal journey as both soldier and veteran, this 16 mm black and white documentary is a fresh and poetic insight into the experience of post traumatic stress disorder, and ultimately a deeply personal account on one man’s harrowing journey, a journey which has changed the path of his life forever.
